Cased Sets

"The classics" 

The cased sets were advertised as;

"Authentically styled with old fashioned quality, these classic miniatures by Erl Svendsen are a must for those who appreciate the antique or unique firearms." 

The sets contained a Pocket Pony, Four Aces and a Little Ace, any of which could be... "purchased singly, in matched pairs or in three gun sets, all uncased or in solid hardwood cases."

 

Shown here in a cut out walnut box is CS70 (cased set) and is gold plated, a service offered at the time. 

 

The plating is flaking in areas on all of these but the bluing is still excellent.

This particular set came from Mr. Art Buchanan's collection (🎶🎶). The box appears to have been mounted with a name or phrase plate on the top showing evidence here:

 

As well as a small latch that was added to the front of the box to hold it in the closed position.
